Start your Saturday with a visit to the Downtown Phoenix Public Market!

  • Date: Saturday, September 27, 2008
  • Time: 8:00 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Admission: FREE
  • Location: 721 N. Central, SE Corner of Central Ave. & McKinley St. (2 blks S of Roosevelt)

The Market presents a group of farmers, chefs and artists who bring forth a collection of products unlike any other in the Valley.  Thousands of people come to a previously empty lot on Saturday mornings and Wednesday evenings to visit and get their fill of fresh produce, meals, gifts and other yummy treats. 

The Market is program of  Community Food Connections, a 501 c 3 non-profit organization.  A portion of the Urban Affair proceeds, promotion and energy will go directly to CFC in support of the Market.  We believe that if downtown is the heart of the Valley, the Market is certainly the soul.

When a colleague obtains a love potion from a fortune teller (Anne Bancroft, in a surprising cameo), the pair embarks on a madcap scientific experiment. The art walk spans several locations, including the Roosevelt Row Block Party, with vendors booths on Garfield Street between Fourth and Sixth streets.
